Last month, I went hiking with a friend to a nearby mountain called Mt. Kongō. Since I had not exercised much until then, I was a little worried before going.
When we got to the mountain entrance by bus, the weather was very nice, and once we started walking, the anxiety I had felt disappeared before I knew it.
However, after walking for about 30 minutes, my legs gradually began to feel heavy. I thought, “I can’t do this anymore,” but my friend said, “Just a little more!”, so I decided to keep trying.
After walking for a while, we reached the top of the mountain. A wonderful view spread out before us, and I was deeply moved. I was tired, but I felt from the bottom of my heart that I was glad I had come.
On the bus home, my friend and I said to each other, “I’d love to come again.”
The text directly says he was worried because he had not exercised much.
He kept climbing after his friend encouraged him. Option 1 (“went home”) is the opposite of the text — a trap.
Though tired, he was glad he came and wanted to return.
