【②】

Passage ①
About Returns and Exchanges
Items you have bought can be returned or exchanged only when it is within one week of the day you bought them and the tag is still attached. Please be sure to bring your receipt at that time.
Sale items cannot be returned. We accept only exchanges for a different size.
For items bought more than one week ago, we cannot accept either a return or an exchange.
If there is anything you are not sure about, please ask a member of staff at the register.
Passage ②
There is always a folding umbrella in my bag. I know that a big umbrella keeps the rain off better.
However, I commute by changing between the train and the bus, and on days when I took a big umbrella with me, there were many times when I left it behind in a shop or on the train. But with a folding umbrella, I just put it back in my bag after using it.
It is true that on days when the rain is heavy, my shoulders get a little wet. Even so, that is better than buying one umbrella after another. So I plan to keep carrying a folding umbrella from now on.
The correct answer is 3. The basis is in the second and third paragraphs. A return or an exchange is possible only within one week of the purchase date and only while the tag is still attached, and a receipt is also needed. However, sale items cannot be returned; only an exchange for a different size is accepted. Choice 1 misses the rule that applies to sale items alone, choice 2 shifts the one-week time limit, and choice 4 reverses the condition about the tag.
The correct answer is 2. The basis is 置き忘れたことが何度もあった in paragraph 2 and 傘を何本も買いなおすよりはいい in paragraph 3. Choice 1 is the point the writer admits in paragraph 1; because the real claim comes after けれども, it is not the reason. Choice 3 changes 何度も (many times) into いつも (always), a shift in frequency. Choice 4 says the opposite of 買いなおすよりはいい.
