Mr. Tanaka was copying important documents to be used in a meeting starting at 10 a.m. tomorrow. He needed 50 copies in total, but just when he was almost finished, the copy machine suddenly stopped working.
He called the repair company right away, but was told, “We’re very busy right now, and we can’t come to you until around noon tomorrow.” That would be too late for the meeting.
So Mr. Tanaka decided to make the remaining copies at a nearby convenience store.
The meeting is at 10 a.m. tomorrow, but the repair person can’t come until around noon tomorrow — meaning the machine will only be fixed after the meeting. Waiting was not an option, so he chose the convenience store.
