Arrange the four words below into the correct sentence.
「もし〜としたら」は、現実ではないことを仮定して話すときの表現です。「〜と仮定すると」という意味で、後ろには「どうしますか」「何になりたいですか」のような質問がよく来ます。
ここでのポイントは、「としたら」が「と」+「したら」の2つのタイルに分かれていることです。動詞は辞書形(生まれ変わる)のまま「と」につなぎます。
★(3番目)に入るのは「したら」です。
もし〜としたら sets up an imaginary “what if” situation — something that isn’t real. It’s often followed by a question like 何になりたいですか (“what would you want to be?”).
The tricky part: としたら is split into two tiles here, と and したら. The verb stays in its dictionary form (生まれ変わる) before と.
The word on the ★ (3rd blank) is 「したら」.

Arrange the four words below into the correct sentence.
「〜ことは〜が」は、同じ言葉を2回くり返して「たしかに〜だけれど、しかし…」と一部だけ認める言い方です。形は「A ことは A が」。
ここでは「近い」を2回使います。1回目は普通の形(近い)、2回目は「が」を付けた形(近いが)です。「駅から近い」ことは認めたうえで、「家賃が高い」という反対の内容につなげています。
★(3番目)に入るのは「ことは」です。
〜ことは〜が is the “yes, but” pattern. You repeat the same word on both sides of ことは to admit one point before pushing back. The shape is: A ことは A が.
So 近い ことは 近い が means “it IS close (I’ll give you that), but…”. The first 近い is plain; the second one takes が. Here the speaker admits the apartment is near the station, then adds the downside: the rent is high.
The word on the ★ (3rd blank) is 「ことは」.

Arrange the four words below into the correct sentence.
「〜わりに(は)」は、「〜から予想されることとくらべて、意外に…」という意味です。「値段のわりに量が多い」のように、名詞+の+わりに の形でも使います。
この文では「その」+「わりには」でひとまとまり。「その」は前半の内容(久しぶりに英語でプレゼンをした)全体を指しています。「久しぶりだから下手だろう」という予想に対して、「思ったより上手くできた」と言っています。「は」を付けると対比の気持ちが強くなります。
★(3番目)に入るのは「わりには」です。
〜わりに(は) means “considering ~; more (or less) than you’d expect”. You’ll also see it as noun + の + わりに, like 値段のわりに量が多い (“a big portion for the price”).
Here その and わりには work as one chunk, and その points back to the whole first half — “considering it had been a long time since I did this”. You’d expect a rusty performance, but the speaker did better than that. Adding は makes the contrast stronger.
The word on the ★ (3rd blank) is 「わりには」.

Arrange the four words below into the correct sentence.
This is a review question. Two relative clauses stack up, one after the other.
①昔から続く describes 祭り (a festival that has continued since long ago). ②祭りに参加する describes 若者 (young people who take part in the festival). In Japanese the describing part always comes before the noun.
The ending 〜そうだ here is hearsay — “they say / I hear”. Don’t mix it up with 増えそうだ (“it looks like it’s increasing”), which is a different form and meaning.
The word on the ★ (4th blank) is 「参加する」.
